Help Transferring apps, data & settings to new phone

Hi there,

I've got a Galaxy SIII LTE from T-mobile running 4.1.2 and it has had a series of minor problems, culminating in T-mobile agreeing to replace it.

I'm wondering whether there is an easy (and hopefully free) way to back up all my apps, settings and data so that I can drop it onto the new phone without having to spend days getting everything as I like it. My hope is that there's an app somewhere or something I can install on my Windows 7 PC...

Any suggestions?

I read a post on on here yesterday that said there is a way of backing much of that stuff up to Google .. however the post said you needed to enable this when you set up your phone

My guess is that there's a way of enabling it post-setup .. but I have no idea how :frown:

You will definiltey need to turn sync on for your Google account, then I guess it's a case of scouting through settings for some sort of backup to Google option :dong:
