i had a lot of trouble getting my contacts from my sony ericsson equinox tm717 to my htc one v. first, i didn't take them from the t-mobile site when i had the chance, figuring i would still be able to log on even after i canceled my service. no access, had to get them from the phone itself. tried to export to that phone's memory card, no dice. connected to my laptop via usb, took the files from there. don't think they were originally .msg files, but when they were saved to my laptop, that's what they were. i should mention that i tried using htc sync at some point during all this, got it installed on my laptop but it wouldn't launch.
so, now i have all these .msg files on my laptop. i transferred them onto my htc one v sd card. through the contacts function on the htc one v, tried to import from sd card - no vcard files found, no dice. put them in outlook as contacts, tried to sync from there, no dice. then, from outlook, put them into evernote. so now they're on evernote, each "note" contains the appropriate name and number(s). sooooo, when i want to access a particular contact, i go to evernote > go to the specific note > "click" on the actual phone number to initiate a phone call > save the number by creating a new contact.
i know this can't be the best method, what should i have done? it's not too late, i still have over 70 "notes" that need to be saved as contacts.
