Transferring to SD Card

We are switching carriers and I need to transfer data from the old phone to its SD card so I can put that card into the new phone. How do I that??
 
That depends on which data you're talking about. For files you can use a file manager (Astro, ES File Explorer, Total Commander). For contacts, if they're Google contacts, they're backed up in your Google account. If they're Phone contacts, you can export them. Data from the apps? An app like Titanium Backup or Lithium.
