Help Transformer's Image Gallery Problems

malveaux

Lurker
Heya,

So I copied a bunch of photos from my PC to my Transformer. Then renamed the folders so that it reflected what was in them content wise. When I load the gallery, it displays the majority of the images under one folder name, instead of all the separate 30 something folders I copied over. It seems that the software remembers what the original folder name was before you renamed it and saves that metadata and applies it eternally so that when you load images they load in that old metadata. It's annoying. I have 600+ photos in one folder called WebReady when it's really 30 something separate folders with a city/state name and a date. Very annoying. Any ideas?

Edit: Yes I'm using folder/album, not date, tag, etc, modes. I tried all of them.

Very best,

if you have an sd card, copy the folders to it, delete the original folders, reboot the tablet, then reverse the process, copy them back to internal and delete them off the sdcard.

if that doesn't work, try refreshing the media database manually, the easiest way i have found is to install 'extended controls' and create a widget that toggles a media refresh, then you can do it from the homescreen.
