I am using Nova launcher already, the screenshot is of Nova launcher itself. I have restarted my phone multiple times, even uninstalled Nova launcher but that button remains. I can move that around transparent button across screen but it gets itself pinned to side of the screen wherever i lift my finger up.

hmmm that is odd. it looks like a padlock icon, indicating a security feature. have you looked into security settings? maybe a secure file of some sort.

i don't have your phone so i don't know where things are on your phone.

Off hand, that seems to project from where I have 3 volume sliders available on my Poco. Have you looked at Media, Calls and Alarm volumes in case one is at zero, or it means DND.

Otherwise there is a full 150 page manual for the GT2 online that I can't enlarge right now, which might show should it be UI related. Your using Nova but it may still be active.
That's my one thought process for this year. :(

To me, it does look like some sort of security thing.

In my opinion, it also seems to look like some app that has been downloaded and that has the permission to overlay itself onto other apps.

This is where I would start my search for the culprit, by searching through what apps have this sort of permission.

Then there may be a setting tto turn the notification or the overlay off.
If not, then you may make the decision to ditch the app altogether.
If you like said app, then you may want to contact the developer of the app and see what kind of respomse you get.
