Hi,
I have unlocked the boot loader and subsequently on 4.4.4 rooted the device. I was hoping in build.prop there would be a way to enable the TSB but I can't seem to find it off hand.

I know the developers supposedly left a simple way for them to enable the TSB but with a rooted system can we as well?

Thanks
TANWare.

Haven't rooted yet, but thanks for the info.

While I take no credit or responsibility, I first unlocked the boot loader and oh what fun that was manually, then rooted. Actually it can all be done with one computer application. The Nexus Root Kit at the link below.

Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.7 | WugFresh

The problem is with 4.4.4 if you just unlock it manually the cache will not mount and errors so apparently you have to wipe it. I finally got it to boot but found out with the tool everything could have been done from there.

Once you have unlocked the bootloader and rooted you can then use the advanced tools to flash the rom and then the google aps pack. Only a few hours so far but I have not noticed any graphical issues or performance ones either.

Yes, you can enable art as well. I enabled it almost immediately as well. I am not sure it runs faster or better as I do not have experience with Dalvik and the new rom. So far I have not had an issue.

It seems to use less ram once running and is snappier overall from the stock rom. I used to have an issue with a crash every few days or so but that has not reared its ugly head. So far I am very happy with it.

I should note as far as ROM's I am switching. The rom worked fine but there are a few primary reasons.

1.) I am running CM11 M10 on my phone

2.) CM11 M10 just became available for the Nexus 10.

3.) CM11 is under constant development where as the prior ROM is not.

Edit; Now on CM11. Runs well so far but way too early to give a full verdict.

Here's hoping they make a Lollipop ROM soon. i am so sick of Google neutering things from releases and blaming the tablet. They either have lazy developers or something is wrong because custom ROM devs can do better and proved that back in KitKat.

I am seriously getting the feeling Google never wanted the Nexus 10 to ever exist in public, and are now treating it like the few Nexus Qs they gave away at E3. before too long they'll cut the cord.

Since it is the official OS version I am sure custom ROMs will follow. There already is an unofficial for my phone but I am awaiting official for both my phone and tablet before upgrading. I am hoping for late December or January for both. For now 4.4.4 with CM11 on both devices stable as all get out for me is wonderful.
