Treadmill Android problem

Hi, I have a treadmill which has a built in tablet which is running android. The tablet inside has a HDMI slot and a micro USB port.

The software thinks the treadmill safety key isn't installed so the screen constantly displays an alert.

The key has a brown, black and green wires, the circuit has been completed by connecting black/brown so I think its an Android software problem.

Is it possible to connect the tablet to a PC and reset/fix this problem? what software would I need?

I mean you could perform a factory reset on the device just to be safe, this should be in the Settings > Backup & reset > Factory Reset

This will delete all your data just so you know.

But if I had more information on what the model of this tablet and/or the treadmill I could better assist you in finding some software.
