Treo converting to Charge

Hello- I'm a newbie to the Android community, upgrading (on Verizon) from a Palm 750 to a Droid Charge. I'll be posting a questions in various forums asking for help and recommendation- clearly the Charge will have its own way of doing things, so I'll learn and adapt, but the Palm provided some good functionality that Ill miss. I'll look forward to learning from this community!

Here are some of the things I'll be looking for as I move to the Charge.

In particular- as a retiree, I no longer have access to corporate email systems, so have been using AOL, handling PIM (calendar, to do, contacts, memos) with Palm Desktop and Docs to Go, synchronizing between Treo and PC with either BlueTooth or USB. I'll probably continue with Docs to Go and switch to Outlook, though am open to other suggestions.

The Treo's calculator is great- spread over multiple screens. trig (including hyperbolic), financial, logic, conversions- weight, length, area, volume (metric and cooking measures!!), math with logs and powers. Is there any single calculator that has all of these? Or- what would you suggest to cover these with more than one calculator.

It will also be fun to find Apps- weather, gas prices, etc. I"m looking forward to exploring the possibilities of this new (to me) world!!

Welcome to the forums!

Glad to hear that you have converted to an Android phone... I hope you're happy with it.

One place you should have a look at is Samsung Droid Charge - Android Forums - other users of the charge would be able to give you hints and tips to help you get the most out of your new phone!

Thanks for joining AF!
