Triangle away

Hello again chaps

Have never used this app. a couple of questions for those who have:

1. Are the dire warnings about bricking your phone a real risk; is it similar to the risks from rooting etc ie. like a supermarket "this product may contain nuts" type caveat, or are there significant dangers

2. who uses the auto reset at boot setting, and why is that for advanced users??

cheers

1.) That is real, but if ever your rom is not based on Samsung Roms.

If ever that TriangleAway does not support your ROM, it will boot into a Special Recovery Mode letting you choose to reset flash counter of cancel. But don't worry, TriangleAway supports ALL Samsung Based Rom. Tried TA on SuperNexus ROM and it booted to the Special Recovery Mode

2.) Never tried it, sorry. :P

I have always used it after flashing stock roms and having to re root.

I have never had any issues and it always remains on my Play history list for the times I need it.

Never used the auto reset. I assume that it performs the triangle away on each boot. I can't imagine why this would be useful unless you were a developer maybe.

Ok. Simple. Really no point in worrying is there.

Mind you. For the first time in 18 months I've now got a phone with no yellow triangle (only removed it once when I first rooted). It feels a little bare!

Syd I hated that triangle! I even invested in a USB jig, and flashed an old bootloader to keep it working before "Triangle Away" was available. Incidentally the old GB bootloader works with JB as well, with seemingly no ill effects.

No such luck with my SGSIII, neither the jig or Triangle away work although there is a work around to reset the flash counter now using triangle away, it's a bit involved. The yellow triangle has been replaced by a tiny, red exclamation mark in the top left on boot on the GSIII, I can live with that.
