I am looking at a way to scan my smartphone over the USB cable to create a database of hashs for the static programs in the device. Ideally the level of access I want is a read-only view of the raw file system without Android running - perhaps from the Bootloader interface.
is this possible?
Does adb or some such mode permit mounting the file system to be accessed over the usb?
I prefer Android not running as I do not wish to rely on an unreliable app to provide the access I need but if need be - an Android App approach is required - I suppose that is better than nothing! Again - I am wishing to get insight into the entire Android filesystem.
