So how many of you had issues with the stock rom? or with the flashed rom (if you did)

I'm honestly considering this phone, no matter all of the bad things I've heard.

You need to add one more option to the list. The Sharp ROM is in a whole nother category. :D

Can't say about stock, closest to stock I had was while on Froyocream Sandwhich (2.2.2) currently flashed to CM7 g60 style, and I'm getting MUCH better battery life :)

I bought it the day it came out and it's always been stock. Probably because I haven't had any problems with it. I know on the boards there seem to be a lot of quality control issues with the Triumph. For me, it does everything as advertised, but I'm pushing my friends to buy the EVO if they want a new phone from VM. It's a gamble that you'll get a good Triumph but if you do, it's a decent phone. And you can always throw a ROM on if you don't like what stock offers.

Hmm, because as of right now my friend has a Triumph and so far I have not been able to see any issues other than a tweet not loading (we were in a basement). And he could hook me up for $100 so its all good. I can sell my WFS for that much :D

Well there are a few gems with this phone that never have any real serious problems, and then there have been a few with every problem, but that was when this phone first came out, it was a joke.
My first MT was one of the bad ones, and not to long after getting it I put in a request for a new one. And that one had no problems stock it has a little bit of a problem now, but still works perfect. That problem is the usb port doesn't always recognize being plugged in to computer / or wall adapter. but thats because my phone wasn't treated the best haha

Well of course there is going to be a few with a bunch of problems. Always is :). But what I'm trying to figure out are the chances of getting a faulty one. As of right now, I have a friend that would like to sell me his for around $100 (going to try to get him to lower it :P haha), and as far as I know it has no problems, he's had it for a while and he's upgrading to the Evo V4g

If he hasn't had problems with it, and you've seen it in use without problems, $100 is a good price for it. Once you own it, you can keep it stock like I did, or mod it, knowing that you can always go back to stock if you don't like the mods.

The stock rom was a little clunky, the cm 7's are cooler, but a little clunky, the sharp rom smooth as glass and every thing works. It's like a different phone.

First off, you need a category for users with the stock rom who have had problems but have NOT yet flashed their phones. I am in that category.

I purchased my Triumph during last year's Cyber Monday special, and while there are several minor issues with the stock rom, I still have not seen reason to flash to something different. I have recently rooted my phone in order to clear out the expanding log files. Still, I have not read of a perfect replacement rom that has convinced me to do away with the original. There seem to be some new Froyo roms that appear to be promising. Someday I may feel the need to flash to the best of the lot. I am on the $25 plan and hope to keep the Triumph for a couple more years if the hardware holds out that long. So far, my hardware is just fine and any issues I have are software related.

You should try the Sharp ROM, if you don't think it an improvement, you can always go back to stock.
