Help Trouble adding numbers to contacts

Is anybody having issues trying to merge new phone numbers to contacts? For some reason when I try to click on add to contacts and go to selected contacts thinking I'm done, it doesnt work. I manually go into contacts and add the number myself. Its a PITA. Is there a way to fix that?

yes It definitely doesn't work..annoying. I also had one contact I hanged the number on revert back to the previous incorrect number. It happened 3 times, but then it finally stuck. Strange.
