trouble downloading

i have a samsung galaxy s3 mini. Whenever i try to download an online file, it says 'starting download' and then nothing happens, there is no symbol to show its downloading or anything, its as if its ignored the command to download the said file.

I know depending on the brower your don't always get a downloading icon on the status bar. I use Opera and when I start a download it states "Starting Download" but I never get the icon on status bar. I actually have to go into downloads in Opera to view on going downloads. This may be the case with your Browers so check your browsers download folder.

I have also noticed the stock browser doesn't always like all files so it may start but will fail. If this is what you have going on I would suggest trying another brower such as Opera or Chrome or Dolphin

I have an s3 mini and also have this problem. Just have the basic settings on it and suddenly stopped doing downloads. So annoying, wish i cud sort it.
