Help Trouble getting official ICS

I got my GS2 a few days ago, tried to update it with Kies. I updated my Dad's GS2 a few weeks ago without a problem, so I jumped right into it.

After a few connection errors, I troubleshooted and got it to work. Detected new firmware as it should have, and began updating. Until I get an error message in Korean. Tried 4 more times and the same thing kept happening.

I thought about it and ended up trying to update OTA to a more recent build if any before the ICS, maybe that was the problem. So I got the update, and tried again.

Now it said that my current firmware is the latest firmware. I must have tried 15 times, reinstalling and everything. I googled around and found no real answers. I tried one more time today and now it says that my device does not support upgrading via Kies.

This is very frustrating, any help or input would be appreciated. I have zero interest in rooting. Thanks in advance.

It says my current firmware is
pda kk6 phone kk6 csc kk6

UCKK6 is the last firmware release for Gingerbread for the i777 (AT&T version of the S2). It sounds like you got one off the shelf with 2.3.4 and once you got the OTA for 2.3.6 it put you one the "OTA" list. I have seen this happen before although I don't think it's supposed to work this way. OTA's are rolled out initially to groups of devices so that the servers aren't overloaded and once you've downloaded it, if something goes wrong, you have to wait for it to roll around again. Usually it takes about a week.

Since you aren't interested in rooting, I would take it into an AT&T store and ask them to update it for you. If they can't do it either, ask for a replacement phone.
