Help Trouble loading PDF

I downloaded a PDF document of around 350 Pages. Everytime I open it, it loads, and then after a few minutes it says I don't have enough memory to process the document and it shuts down. I've shut all my unneccessary processes down, checked my task manager, etc. and its all fine. I have MORE than enough memory (I haven't even used 1/8 of my 32GB) What the heck? Sorry if the answer is super obvious, this is my first droid and I haven't had a lot of time to play around with it.

A tablet may have gigs of space for storage, but only limited memory for running apps and opening documents. It's not the storage space (32GB) but rather the free memory available to load the PDF document into active memory which is only about 400megs. Your 350 page document is a lot bigger than the available memory on the Tab so it doesn't load.

Tablets, while very handy and fun to use, are not replacements for full blown computers and laptops. In the not too distant future I'm sure we'll have tablets with gigs of RAM and terabytes of storage with powerful processors and graphics just like today's desktop computers. But not today or tomorrow...
;)

I am not a PDF expert but I would suspect the PDF document itself before the TAB, anyday. Why would I say that?

1) These days -- as reference for work -- I carry around a 3.5 MB, 606 pages PDF on all my devices (including my phone) and I find my TAB 16GB actually provides a better "PDF reading" environment for it that my employer-issued Core 2 Duo laptop.
2) I use the free Adobe Reader as viewer on all platforms. On the TAB, my "RAM Status" is 422MB/722MB with that PDF opened, so RAM is not an issue (and I suppose it is not for you either).
3) As a Technical Writer I have used Adobe Acrobat since version 4, I have generated terabytes of PDFs through the years (including a 3,000 pages manual set), and I *KNOW* I generated more than my share of "oaf-ish," un-optimized PDFs, so maybe I am not alone in that?
4) Do a test with Adobe Reader on you TAB?
5) Does that downloaded PDF even provides workable, smooth viewing on a PC or MAC?
