Trouble purchasing Beautiful Widgets

New Android user here and I've downloaded and installed several free app already.

I tried to purchase Beautiful Widgets and the market says the card (Amex) is "unusable for this purchase".

I called Amex and not only is there no problem with the fact the purchase is in euros they see my two attempts and have approved it both times.... so it's NOT Amex.

LevelUp Studios, the developer for Beautiful Widgets has no contact info on their site.

Now what?

There does seem to be some problems over at Level Up Studios - I have sent two email to the support address found at the market but no response. My trouble is after several months of happy usage I updated and now it is in an endless "authorizing purchase" loop. Lets share progress notes

Just for grins I tried another card and it worked right away.

So even thought the market claims it accepts Amex and Amex approved the transaction on their end, the market never completed the transaction.
