Root trouble rooting samsung admire

HELP! im having trouble rooting my brothers samsung admire. for some reason superuser wont install on it.. im using this tutorial http://androidforums.com/admire-all...e-sch-r720-windows-mac-linux-9-12-2011-a.html .. can somebody please help me!? thanks

Are you doing the Windows, or the Mac / Linux scripting?

Also, did you set you phone to USB Debbugging

Menu / Settings / Application / Development / Checkbox for USB debugging

Make sure you pull down the notifications tray and click usb debugging>debug mode on>android man will turn orange>then install superuser & titanium backup

I turned usb bedugging on and usb mass storage and still nothing.. I keep trying and now for some reason it still wont fully root it.. now when I run run.bat.. it says device not found four times and then tries to reboot it and the phones not rebooting

I did mine on windows XP and it worked fine, though I did manually reboot after my phone went all buzzy and it said it was rebooting but didn't.

When I rooted my phone I had to install superuser manually. Try installing super user manually from the attached file.

One of the problems that caused the root process to act funny is the program " Droid Explorer " if you have it installed try to uninstall it or stop its service from windows service manager.

also try to start the rooting process as an administrative right.

removing the sd card was reported by some users that it might have part in solving it.

Also make sure you have the Samsung Admire driver installed in your PC get it from here

It says could not access the package manger. is the system running.
