Root Trouble rooting

Ok, So I was rooted before but was having problems with freezing, force closes etc. So I went through the tutorial "Simple Gingerbread .602 SBF and root process". Ran it and it worked but it bricked on me after trying to flash a new rom. Did it again and had the same problem. Now on my third try, I get to the 1 click root and I'm getting an error at the end that it didnt work.... Neeeed help!!!

we need more details to help you bud
such as:
os version 4.5.602? 4.5.605? 2.3.340?
what rom are you trying to install?
are you using droid x or droid 2 bootstrapper?

are you using droid 2 bootstrapper? are you making sure you are wiping data and cache before you install the rom?

were you on a 2init rom and going to apex?

I had apex before..
But yea Im using using droid x bootstrapper and I wiped data/cache.. My prob now is I can't root. After I "bricked" it I ran RSDLite w/ .602 SBF and attempted to run 1 click root like I had twice before but I'm getting an error at the end saying it cant root. Did everything the same, no clue what to do now.

i have had issues with this before, in all honesty i know your not going to like this,

keep trying to root it.

thats really all i can tell you, the program doesnt flawlessly work 100% of the time, i dont know why, but there was another thread around here where a guy/girl had the same issue and it was resolved after trying to root for the 3rd or 5th time something like that.

if after 10 tries it doesnt root, try sbfing back to .340 and root that way, then install the prerooted OTA located in the sticky at the top of the forum

Ok, yea I just tried 3 more times and same thing... I'm still confused on why it crashed on me when trying to load the apex rom. I wiped data/cache, ran the package and it crashed on the reboot. I try sbfing back to .340 like u suggested, any advice on loading a rom afterwards? I've only ran apex......

You should be using Droid 2 bootstrapper.

just make sure your battery has at least 40% charge, sbf to froyo, root, install d2/dx bootstrapper, then flash the prerooted .602 ota, once done, reinstall the dx bootstrapper and uncheck usb debugging then install apex through the dx bootstrapper and that should work. sometimes these programs get glitches, it happens

Finally got it rooted... havent flashed a rom on it yet though. Wife says it time to stop playing with my phone/comp lol... thanks for ur help.
