Trouble seeing android in the sun

I have trouble seeing my android when I am in the sun. My brightness level is even all the way up and I still have trouble seeing it in the sun. Is there an app or a way to fix it? Maybe like an app to make the brightness higher than the factory setting. I bike while listening to music on it and I cannot see what song or artist it is. And I cannot see the next and previous song buttons either. I have the problem on all the android media players I have tried.

Nope, can't change it. What phone do you have anyway?

I have a samsung Galaxy Player. But it is set up like an android with google play, and the same settings as android.

You really can't change screen brightness as far as I know. Its hardware limited. You should have gotten something with an AMOLED screen if you planned to use it for outdoor, or at least read device reviews to see their reports on outdoor visibility of the devices.

You could get a matte screen protector? Maybe that helps.

If rooted, try root dim app. It goes below & above factory levels. Also has selection of widgets.

To take things further if rooted, custom roms like cyanogenmod let you modify the auto brightness to the extreme ends.
