Trouble seeing download

Just got my new nexus 7 after old one wouldn't start and this one via warranty. When I download files from pc to Nexus 7 I can't see them in download but they are there as it shows size and from pc they are shown in download on Nexus but I can't see them. Have checked allow non playstore programs to be loaded in setup. Sure it's something I'm missing cause have been successful in moving files from pc to download on Nexus in the past...thanks garry

What file manager are you using to look for them on the N7?

don't have a file manager to look on new Nexus 7 as that is one of files I have and wanted to put on new Nexus so can only view what's on Nexus via pcand the The download on Nexus after going to display in settings shows the size of files I pasted over but says no files even thuough it shows there are 128 mbs of them...thanks garry

Have you restarted the N7 since you did the file transfer? Definitely recommend you install a file manager such as ES File Explorer or Astro, both free in Play.

downloaded the free file managers and lo and behold could see everything in download and was able then to install. thanks all for assistance.......garry
