Trouble Updating Apps?

Is anyone else having trouble updating their apps? I've noticed that only some of my updates are going through. My phone will download the update, but the installation will fail. I don't remember the exact error message. Something about package/packet failure. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there something I need to do on my end?
 
In order to receive help, you might want to mention which phone you have, which modifications (rooting), if any, you have made, and which applications are failing to upgrade. Also, a more specific error message might be helpful.

EVO 4G, Froyo, Unrooted.

The error message I'm getting is "Package file is invalid"
 
It's been occurring with random apps. For instance, it took maybe 3 or 4 tries for Dolphin HD Browser to update successfully, while I still can't seem to get Uninstaller or App 2 SD Free to update at all.
 
That means the app was either:

a) Not signed correctly by the developer when uploading to the market

-- in which case you should just try again, the dev probably noticed their mistake and corrected it (within hours usually / or a day at most)

b) Some form of the app was sideloaded with a different signature, possibly pirated.

-- in which case you should uninstal whatever version you have and download a fresh copy from the market. And you might be a bad person ;) Uninstalling and re-installing should help regardless (unless the dev signed the file wrong)
 
App 2 SD Free doesn't seem to be uninstalling at all. My phone has been displaying the "Uninstalling application..." (and accompanying gray status bar) for quite some time. This is becoming frustrating.
 
Not of much help but I have this Package Is Invalid problem too.

The app that couldn't install is Google Maps. I've spent alot of time looking for a solution to no avail.
My phone is rooted with VillainROM 12. I'm not sure if that's the problem as I think they put in their updated Google Maps in the rom or th problem could be with Apps2SD. However, now that the market has been updated I don't see the error message but it still doesn't download/update and just disappears without displaying an error.
