Help trouble with scrollable wallpaper (ADW)

so i downloaded ADW launcher to get scrollable wallpapers back, but i still get stuck on the cropping screen every time i try to select my wallpaper. i have the scrollable wallpaper option checked in ADW settings, but i cant seem to get past the cropping function, which completely defeats the point.

what am i doing wrong?

What does scrollable wallpaper have to do with cropping?

Use Wallpaper Set&Save to set wallpapers without cropping.

because it forces you to crop the image to meet the size of one screen, rather than allowing the image to stretch across every screen.

i cant find any wallpaper set&save app... is that a setting im missing?
