Troubles getting back to stock...

Little Darwin

Android Enthusiast
I am trying to load Co-Pilot GPS software, since my Hero is not on my cell plan... However, it seems that I have to be using the stock ROM to activate.

I tried a Nandroid restore, but the MD5 failed.

When I run the RUU, I get to the HTC screen on the reboot, and it stops... the RUU program eventually times out, and tells me there is a USB failure. To get back to CM I have to remove the battery and reinsert.

I am on CM 6.0

Does anyone know what I should do to get back to stock 2.1?

Thanks!

Perhaps try a factory reset? I would backup all of your apps and data via Titanium Backup first though.

Then try the Android 2.1 RUU again. Also, you could try flashing something like NFX ROM, which is a fully up to date Sense UI ROM, but has bloatware removed, and see if that works with the GPS software you want to use.
