Help true multitasking

I always listen to Pandora via bluetooth in my car without a problem. Just recently I needed to use the gps navigation on the phone and pandora seemed to continue playing in the background with the navigation app up front, until the song ended. after some long silence i switched back to pandora app and it said "Searching for Coverage". Will apps not share the data line? I imagine this happened because google navigation was using data to download maps as i went and blocked pandora. Anyone know if i am missing a setting or does the GS3 indeed not share data to two apps simultaneously?

It defo does share data... for example ive been downloading a movie while browsing etc. Depends how strong your signal is i suppose.
what download speed do u get on the "speedtest.net" app?

Just tested with Speedtest.net over LTE

I use Pandora and navigation at the same time. When the nav program speaks direction, it mutes the music, then brings the volume back up when the voice direction is complete.

Update...today I noticed that pandora wont load the next song if its running in the background even if all im looking at is the home screen. I looked at the pandora application settings and background data was disabled. I re-enabled background data and all works good now.
