I've been reading that there are two different versions of the camera. If so, I think Verizon got the cheap one because my phone is slow to focus and the quality is not nearly as good as all the reviewers claimed pre-release.
If there are two different camera modules its probably because two different factories or production lines made them. They'd be the same spec, just a different supplier.
Specs are the same for all phones. But I wouldn't be shocked if there were camera hardware made by different manufacturer's depending on where the unit was made. I know the international version I'm using was made in Korea, as opposed to the US AT&T version which I had before that was made in China.. but I couldn't tell any differences in the camera speed or photo quality whatsoever during my tests.
I will say that auto-focus on android require u to be a lot more still than with the iphone.
