Truncated headlines in BBC News app

Newbie
I installed the BBC News app on my Xperia Arc S.

Each news tile has a photo with a black area underneath for the headline. The black area is tall enough for 2 lines of text, but all of the tiles use only the 1st line so the headline is always truncated with a trailing "..." and a wasted blank line beneath. So at present I have to tap on each tile just to read the full headline.

For example here are a few headlines I can see now

Google asked to pa...
Micron Appleton d...
Europe 'at risk of ea...

Pretty incomprehensible. If it used both lines then I'd be able to see the whole headline.

Anyone know how to get it to use both lines? I can't find any settings that would do it.
