Root Trying to downgrade Dinc2, at a dead end.

Lurker
I've ran into quite a few problems while attempting to downgrade my Dinc2 to 2.3.3 from 2.3.4. Had a secondary emulator running....wasn't running as admin....etc. I'm using the hack-vivow.cmd method, and plan on using revolutionary to root after I downgrade.

I've cleared up a few of the problems so far, but I'm stuck with this in the command prompt when i run hack-vivow:
rootfail.jpg

I notice a "permission denied", a "command write failed" and a "FAILED <remote: 43 main version check fail>"

any ideas?

Oh ok, thanks! I was looking around for Tacoroot, but everything I read said that it was unstable, and only a temp-root.

that is correct.

taco root is a temp root, like zerg rush, and is only used to for temp root access so that the misc image can be edited and the device tricked into a downgrade.

dont confuse unstable with dangerous. while the phone may not boot(mine was bootlooping while i entered the commands to change the main version) and will be unstable, taco root is a very safe temp root.

check out the linked thread for some more info :)
