hi I've got a nitecore ums2 but only info I can find is on the site for the item the info I'm now trying to find is why it installs a device to your pc and Is it able to be recoded to do what you want

this is a battery charger that you plug into your computer via usb.....yes? if so then the pc will detect it as a device and might need the proper drivers for it. i'm not sure i understand what you mean by "able to be recoded"?
Why are you trying to plug a USB charger into your PCs USB port? Quite frankly I've only heard of one laptop that charges via USB. Is it a GPD device you've got there?

I have one of those, but I've never seen a charger wanting to install software with it.

well im mean it installs drivers for itself
Well just ignore it. Is it a GPD machine you've got there, that charges via USB? Because those do NOT need to install drivers to charge. Other PCs and laptops you just use the stock 19V or built-in PSUs they come with.
