Root Trying to partition sd with cwm xx27...

Ok I know there are qyite a few threads for this but I need my own personal help.i .ever plated around with sd partitions and I read quite a bit about them and I dont have a computer (my phone is dat at da moment:D)to backup my card so im actually backin dat up to cloud storage atm,and im almost done now I have a 16gig sd idk wut class it is as it was a gift dat came outa da box already,i want to know wuts da best partition to run oc'roms I read other posts but they were a little vague so for a 16gig card in a samsung admire,wut is the best overall partition/swap size I shood use kuz im ready to do dis now can someone plz help out ya boi?:confused:
 
I run a 16gb with a 1gb partition. Its strickly used for link2sd. Its freed up alot of internal storage and ive only used an 8th of the partition.
 
Now wut ext shood I use 1,2,3, or 4 bkus I hear alot use ext2 but oc roms want ext4 plz help?:o
 
So n a minute im goin to partition so to make sure im on point kuz im doin it thru cwmxx27, use ext4 n 1gb swap rite?
 
Well I was on the oc version but ive never partitioned any sd card not even dis one.and im starting to think dat was one reason I was getting multiple fc's at a time dats y I wanna try partitionin idk how I ran any oc rom w/o partitionin but I did dats y im tryin it now
 
So wit dat bein true about 27 n 28 then I shood do the partion wit cwm 28 rite?

It actually doesn't matter which cwm you partition with. When you go to partition your sd card choose 1024 for the partition size and 32 for the swap size. Also to reply to one of your previous posts oc roms don't want ext4. It's just saying that the file system for oc'd roms are ext4. So if you plan on using link2sd just use ext3.

Ok dud it but now wen I run l2sd it asks me for ext n I use 3 it tells me to reboot wen I do I get same thing all over again rebooted 4xs am I missing a script or something?

What rom are you on? There's no script needed. You just partition and run the app
 
Ok I found out my problem.(btw,im on awo oced)i kept getting dat message kuz for me after I chose ext2(which was by accident)it said script mounted etc,etc...instead of jus restarting I booted to cwm n reformatted my.JUST MY CARD AGAIN and wen I rebooted it worked! I wanna do ext3 but even tho I uninstalled and reinstalled l2sd it wont give me da option again but im glad it worked thank u again for da partifion help u off da chain but anyway I kan do it again so I kan choose ext3? There is an option to cleanup da partition u think it mayhelp?
 
Neva mind da last question I figured it out with the option to remount scripts under menu>more. Duh.sometimes its under my nose n I still cant sniff it out!;)
 
OK sorry wrong about day too so wit I did was restored a backup of O.A. FROM MY WIFES PHONE THEN DID A FACTORY RESET RESTORED A COUPLE APPS N WEN USED LINK2SD IT FINALLY LET ME CHOOSE EXT3 ON DA 1ST TIME W/1 REBOOT AS I WAS ON A.W.O. B4 I GUESS AWO ONLY LETS U CHOOSE EXT2 KUZ DATS DA ONLY 1 I KOOD USE WIT OA 900HZ I KAN USE EXT3 WIT OA NOW DA PROBLEM IS I DONT UNDASTAND WUT APPS SHOOD I MOVE N SHOOD I USE SHABBYS METHOD ALSO ALONG WIT DAT KUZ TO B REAL SPZ IZ MY NINJA BUT OA DONT HAVE DA BEST INTERNAL YA FEEL ME SO WEN YALL GET UP KUZ I NEED ENLIGHTENMENT PLZ HELP!!!!:)

You can move any app that isn't tied to the system. You can generally move all your user apps without a problem since the system apps don't really use a lot of space and I don't know what you mean by his method.
 
Well as u know shabby had a thread entitled:how I saved space on my phone thread or something like dat anyway a lot of pol say don't use Da regular move apps 2 sd from phone but use links and make links well I did dat but it wasn't a big memory difference like I thought now dat I'm Baker on oa oc'ed edition I have 9 apparently installed 2 on SD n I have 119.5 MB internal it may sound OK now but wen I finish my backups especially fp11 its gonna b lower r my expectations too high or am I n Da ballpark n not knowing it? Help me to UNDASTAND

Oh yeah that thread. Well I'll tell you right now. Apps to sd is only good for games really since the majority of times it reduces the size by almost 90% but for normal apps like lets say titanium backup the most you could get back is maybe 5mb at most. I think the most apps I ever had installed using link2sd was about 30 but you cant expect much. The admire only has 160mb internal memory. Even with link2sd you wont get that much space back especially if you use apps that are large in size.
