Hello and welcome! I can try to help you out, no worries!!!!!
No, sorry you cannot use the files in this forum as they are for the Evo4G.
However, I can move you on over to your phones forum but I just need to know which HTC Desire you have? the normal Desire, Desire C, HD, X, or Z.
You will have better info there...:D I guarantee it!!!!

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It's just a regular old Desire. Cheers for the help. I'll have a look for some some info in the correct forum this time

No problem, moved you to here for more specific phone help.

The fine folks here can help you!

If you need anything else, just drop me a p.m.:D

If unrevoked is complaining about firmware too new, try Revolutionary. There's a guide to using it linked from the All Things Root Guide sticky post in this forum (which is also the red link in my sig).

Right have given the revolutionary method a go but it says my beta key is invalid. I've tried it several time with no joy. any thoughts?

Odd. If you didn't copy and paste, are you sure it's typed correctly (not confusing O and 0, or I, l or 1)?

Can you try again and get a different key? If it still doesn't work, I'd ask the Revolutionary team. I tried it once just to investigate something for another member, and it worked OK for me (on Linux), so I've not had to solve this one myself.

Nah can't get another one as it's tied to my SN. Yeah I've tried different variations of 1 I L etc but doesn't accept it. Will give revolutionary a shout and see what they're saying
