Root trying to root my galaxy 5... But failing miserabley :(

I am trying to root my galaxy 5 that came pre installed with 2.2/Froyo.

I have tried:

- z4root - randomly closes when 'acquiring root shell'
- superoneclick - freezes, and i am not able to install 2.0 .NET framework on my Windows XP PC. If someone tells me how to do it on a mac running Snow Leopard that would be helpful.
- Universal Androot - Something about Fuu Guu
- EasyRoot - device not supported


Whats left to do?
