Root Trying to root Mytouch 3g Fender...

So im trying to root a Fender MyTouch 3g and my computer is not recognizing when i plug the phone in. The phone charges but nothing pops up on the computer or in the phone.

i had the same issue, but realized that i wasnt using a data cable... Check to make sure the usb cable you have is a data cable and not one that connects to universal usb chargers.
