Help Trying to tether with WM Touch Pro2 hot spot

My old WM Touch Pro 2 puts out a fine wifi signal when using the XDA-wifi-sharing app. Works great in connection to any computer or laptop I own but my wife's new Droid Incredible cannot see or connect to it. Any idea why? I don't know much about the android system. I have poked around in all the wifi settings I can find with no luck. Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks...
 
Are you setting it up as an ad-hoc network (computer to computer connection) ? Check on the laptop and make sure the network shows up as a wi-fi access point. Android can not see ad-hoc networks.
