Help trying to understand 'my files' on S4

First post, first smartphone.
looking at the 'my file' section of my galaxy S4 and figgered out how to create a folder called notes now need to add text to that folder. A few ideas, nothing worth getting a separate app for.
Should be possible shouldn't it?
....thanks

The S4 comes with an app called S Memo that save text & picture notes to the Smemo folder or you can create separate folders from the S Memo app settings.

I actually thought that Smemo was for a stylus or finger or...then send via whatever method you choose. Did not realize keyboard text was an option. Always preferred using the keyboard. Probly because I didn't look at it. Have saved a few lines of text notes and looks like I may want to explore other apps. I can d'load, try, and remove app if I don't like it right?

I actually like S Memo and use it manly for drawing digrams for measurements and drawing pictures. (I use a stylist). I use ColorNote for all my text notes. Its good to have choices.
