Help trying to upgrade to Ice Cream

Hi I am trying to upgrade a Samsung 8.9 Galaxy Tab (SAMSUNG-SGH-I957) to Android 4.0 (currently it's at 3.2).

So I got a USB cable for it and installed Kies on my MacBook.

I'm following the instructions from the Samsung webpage "AT&T Tabs: How do I update my SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB

When in Kies, if I select Tools > Firmware Upgrade and Initialization, it says
"SGH-I957 does not support initializing"

Um, ok I tried again to select Tools > Firmware Upgrade and Initialization and it gave me an option to enter model number and S/N. I have the model number but don't know where to find the S/N. There's nothing printed on the back, no serial number in Settings > About Device, and I can't locate any battery compartment in order to find the sticker Kies says should be there.

I updated mine and now touchscreen will not work, did you get it to update and did it work?
