TuneIn Radio Pro buffering

Does anyone else find that TuneIn Radio Pro buffers every 30s? When I use it on my Evo over 3G it will buffer for 1s every 30s without fail. Looking at the screen when it's buffering, it seems that it needs the buffer to be 100% full the whole time, since it shows 90% when it pauses to fill up.

I thought the purpose of a buffer was so that it could be used whilst there was a drop in data, and then it fills up in the background when the data connection is back. TuneIn doesn't appear to use it this way!

I have tried looking for an option to increase buffer size without luck, is there such an option that anyone has found? Or maybe a "minimum buffer level before pausing" setting?

Any help appreciated,

Richard

I have not noticed this...
Haven't gone into the settings, but I listened to TuneIn Radio Pro on my way home from work last night, and the only time it paused\stopped was when I pulled up to home and Tasker connected my phone to WiFi (guess it kinda freaked out when data dropped, and WiFi connected).

I have 4G everywhere in my area, so perhaps that has something to do with it? Faster buffering?

I know it was buffering like mad last Sunday when the President was giving his speech. However, I think it might be due to my phone's signal, because it's erratic as crap when I'm at work, even though I'm two miles from Milwaukee county and a major urban area.

I am having the same issue just today, but it has happened before also. I don't understand what's going on. I have an SGP 4.0. I even tried exiting the app and turning off WiFi, then all back again, but to no help :(

I had this problem and solved it by changing the screen time out on my phone. I observed that my stations started buffering only after the screen went to sleep, so I changed the settings to have the screen always on, lowered the brightness by half to save power. I also changed my power management settings to avoid the power saver mode.

Can I just say that Tunein should do something to fix this? We shouldn't have to keep our phones "awake" to avoid buffering. By the way, I did send an email to android@tunein.com Let's see if they can address it.
