6 month update:
Somehow in my research I missed that Turbo2 has only the single antenna, unlike the Maxx's I've used the last 6 years. So I was horrified when I received my T2 last month and sim voice&data didn't work.
To my amazement, I went into Settings and enabled Adv Calling, rebooted phone, and now I'm enjoying what I have for the last 6 years. I didnt have to go into MyVZW account or VZ store to enable it, it was right at the top level menu to enable it.
So I guess I'm in one of those lucky VZW service areas where VoLTE works.
