Android Question

It's easy to tap "Do not show this again" to turn off first-use help messages. I'd like to do that while I set up an Android 4.1.2 phone for my daughter to use. But then I'd like to turn the first-use help messages on again before I send it to her. I have done lots of searches for this information, without success. Can you tell me how to do that? Thanks, Jim

Factory reset the phone.
Are you using stock android.Because I am using it and i haven't found that option, but before i was using GS3 and i think there was a setting for that.

Thanks, Matt, but I didn't want to do a factory reset.
Won't that remove the apps and settings I have put in the phone?
I only want to reset the first-use messages to turn them on again.

Jim

Thanks, Matt, but I think if I saved everything, did a factory reset and restored everything, then the settings that tell the first-use messages not to appear would also be restored.

What I really wanted to find the file(s) where the settings about first-use messages are stored. Since Android is based on Linux, which is a remake of Unix, I thought there would be configuration files to control these settings.

Anyway, I have sent the phone to my daughter without turning off any of the first-use messages, so it should be right for her.

As far as I am concerned, this question is not solved, but from my point of view the issue has gone away, in the mail.

Thanks for thinking about it, Jim
