My Galaxy S3 is for Sprint and Philadelphia, supposedly, finally got some 4g lte coverage. Do I have to turn it on or does it automatically pick up the signal??

It should have something listed with LTE there.
I am on Verizon and I have LTE/CDMA setting chosen
