Turn Of Lattitude inc battery helpful hint

Over the weekend my battery was pretty good until I started playing with google maps. I accidently turned privacy on to lattitude and my battery was draining even though GPS was off. Lattitude will find you through tower location whcih uses cellular power! Much better this morning when I turned this feature off.

In fact google sent me an email letting me know I forgot to turn it off.

Thank god Im not a convict eh!

i had this feature on when i had my droid too but i never noticed a battery drain turned on vs off. But that could be me.

I assume the cell tower gps doesn't use that much

Lattitide never bugged my Eris. Dont know about this phone yet.
