Turn off 4G?

I'm on AT&T and can't find a way to turn off 4G. I can only see how to turn data of completely. Is this not possible?

It is not possible thru the menu system. But I read somewhere that you could take out the sim card, and type in some #....# numbers.. and it will let you toggle between Edge, 3G, and 4G. I think it was from AT&T Galaxy S3 forum. They have the same problem too.

Dialing *#*#4636#*#* on the phone dialpad takes you to a Phone Info menu that has various selections for type of data in the dropdown just above "Turn off radio". Not sure which selection to choose for AT&T. Some selections turn off voice as well as data.

Apps like "LTE On/Off" take you to that same menu.
