Help Turn off cell radios?

Hi all,

I have an AT&T Galaxy S3 that I'm no longer using as a cell phone (I just picked up a Galaxy S5), but I'd like to continue using the S3 as a wireless/bluetooth device.

Is there a way to turn off the phone radios in order to save battery?

Thanks for the help,
Brian

I never really worried about it TBH. If you are only using WiFi then you could put it into airplane mode and manually reenable WiFi. I'm not sure if you can turn bluetooth back on or not while in airplane mode. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it as the cell radio won't use too much battery.

Thanks.

Since the phone barely lasts a day with minimal use, I'm really interested in turning off the cell radios. Is there another one besides airplane mode? My previous phone was a Droid X, and I was able to enter a series of numbers in the dialer which turned off the phone radio.

Just put it in airplane mode then enable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when you need it. I do this with one of my old phones which is being used as a mp3 player and it works great. The battery lasts for days.

I knew that would work for WiFi, but wasn't sure for BlueTooth. Thanks for clarifying.:)
