Help Turn off haptic feedback

mezzie

Lurker
Hi!

I restored factory settings for my samsung galaxy ace, and can't for the love of me figure out how to turn off haptic feedback.

I can't recall having this much trouble with this when I first got my phone, but I've upgraded my android version since then. Got 2.3.6 now, and it looks like the option to turn it off have been removed.

I've tried installing spare parts+, but that didn't help.

Anyone know how to fix this?

If it only were that simple. :p

I don't have that option in my menu. I've looked under every menu. Neither Sound menu or Locale and text have that option.

This is the menu options I have:

wireless and networks;call settings;sound;display;location and security;applications;accounts and sync;privacy;SD card... ;locale and text;voice input...;accessibility;date and time;about phone

Go to Setting
Go to Language & Input - to the Right of android keyboard is a button that looks like a tic tac toe sign press it.
Then uncheck vibrate on keypress.
That's it.

Wanna see it? Go to youtube and type in:
How Do I Disable Vibration When Texting On My Samsung Nexus?
There's a one minute video on there. Hope this helps,
GG

This method for the Nexus doesn't exist on the Galaxy Ace, so that's no solution.
