Turn off lights?

Nabraham

Saw a commercial for the iphone and one of the apps the woman turns off the lights/fans in her house by using an app. Is there anything like that in the Android market?

Thanks!

Thanks, no i don't have x10 controls. I was really just curious how the whole thing worked and if there was an app in the android market for it.

There was a documentary on this on the gadget show (UK Tv Program) and they were controlling a house from the uk and the house was in romania i think, but they were saying that the controls cost something like 30k to install on the house.

Search on youtube for gadget show iphone control house or something ;)

EDIT: Sorry i lied, it was in Dubai and it cost 25k

App viewing starts at 3:48

back to life...

Check out Vera Z-Wave controllers at Micasaverde.com.

I currently have a thermostat and about 9 switches controlled by it then use an android app called Homebuddy to control those items remotely. So far I love this new level of control. Z-wave appears to be the only protocol that is truly DIY so much cheaper than most others.
