Is there a way to turn off the vibrate notification while within a call besides turning off vibrate all together?

I think it depends on what app you are using that provides notifications. For example.. the stock messaging app doesn't have a call specific setting, however Handcent allows you to turn off vibrate while in a call. Most apps seem to just have a generic vibrate setting which you can disable. I believe they all default to vibrate during call as that is the only way you know if something came in since it won't play the sound.
