Help Turn off talking appointments

I *know* I have read about this someplace but I can't think of what it is called so my searches have come up dry.

All of a sudden, all of my calendar reminders are being read to me. How do I turn off this feature? I am packing for a trip and all of a sudden I hear this voice coming out of my backpack...creepy!
