Turn off the Stuff

I bet I am not alone in this.

I N-E-V-E-R use the stuff like ... ... that is the only one.

How do I permanently turn this off so I can paste code examples into a message without having to go back and insert unneeded/unwanted spaces?

In the absence of that option ... how can I turn all of them off in a message I enter?

You can either do [ code ] tags or [ plain ] tags

[ plain ][/ plain ] is a partial solution. It doesn't play well with its siblings. What is needed is something like ...

It's possible to make [plain] work so you can have [url]http://androidforums.com[/url] tags & text formatting in the same post with both and :)

...but it takes a little more effort. :(

from another forum (Brighthand) I've learned that there are various 3rd party add-ins available, listed at the XenForo site.

To see a preview of your post you can click More Options, then on the next page there is a preview option.
