Turn off USB storage message

ckuehner

Lurker
I have always plugged my phone into my computer at my office to charge it during the day. All has been fine, until yesterday. I now get a message when I go to use my camera "Turn off USB storage before using camera". I also get this message when I go to view my Gallery - "SD card is being used as a mass storage device". I did not change any settings on my phone and cannot get this to go away. I have been to my AT&T dealer as well as called in to a "Droid support" telephone number and no one can give me an answer on how to make this go away so I can use my camera and access my gallery again. Please help. cfkuehner

ckuehner, hello and welcome to Android Forums. Please let us know what phone you have so that we might better help you or direct you to the best area to get help for your problem. I'm sure it's been advocated by others... but you might try powering off your phone.. removing the battery for a few.. returning the battery and powering up. It's forces the phone to do a hard reboot which sometime clears those weird wonky things that have no explanation.

I have a captivate glide. I have powered off - taken everything out - left powered down overnight - and still the same.
