turn off wifi

I have a Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE through Virgin Mobile. I just want to know if there is any way, app or otherwise, to turn off the wifi and leave it off. I know there are wifi manager apps that will auto-toggle the wifi when you enter/ leave a recognized wifi, but I want it to turn it off and have it stay off. I have unlimited data, so I'm not worried about carrier charges. But I do want my battery to last longer, and my university has the same wifi all over campus, so the antenna gets switched on all day. 'Forgetting' the wifi is an option, but then I have to sign in every time if I want to use wifi, which is a hassle.

You want Settings --> and then slide the WIFi to the off position. It WILL stay off until you turn it on again
