I've finally moved onto a new phone and I was wondering if anyone knows how I might turn my droid into strictly just a MP3 player? Ideally I'm looking for something that operates similarly to an ipod touch but I'm not sure how to go about this.
Has anyone tried doing this?
I just flashed MIUI ROM onto my old Droid. It gives you an iOS feel if you are into that. See instructions on Droid-life.com

I have tried out MIUI and I was very impressed. I guess what I'm looking for is a ROM that is strictly built to use the phone as an MP3 player. I'm not sure if theres a ROM out there that does this but I might be able to delete the pieces that I don't want (i.e. phone, 3G connectivity).
Is that possible? I've installed a bunch of ROMs but I'm not sure if you can delete core functionality.

I just told you how to do it on any ROM. Just wipe userdata and bypass the activation screen. Follow the instructions from the above link.

Interesting...the web android market now thinks that I have a Droid 2...
